Binance Calls for Immediate Release of Executive Tigran Gambaryan Amid Health Concerns

Binance has issued a strong appeal to the Nigerian government for the immediate release of its executive, Tigran Gambaryan, following the circulation of a video showing him struggling to walk to court. The cryptocurrency exchange has expressed deep concern over Gambaryan’s deteriorating health and the conditions he is enduring during his detention.

In an official statement released today, a Binance spokesperson highlighted the urgency of the situation, stating, “We are deeply concerned about Tigran’s deteriorating health and the ongoing mistreatment he is enduring. His detention is unjust and has no place in a modern, democratic society. We urge the Nigerian government to prioritize his well-being and allow him to return home.”

The spokesperson emphasized Binance’s commitment to resolving any outstanding issues with the Nigerian authorities, noting that holding Gambaryan in custody is not a constructive solution. They referenced Binance’s history of cooperation with governments globally, citing successful resolutions in Brazil and India as examples of how regulatory concerns can be addressed through constructive dialogue and adherence to legal standards.

“We are sharing an official statement from Binance on this matter, along with images that highlight the distressing conditions Tigran is facing,” the spokesperson added, underscoring the seriousness of the situation.

Binance has called on the Nigerian government to consider Gambaryan’s health and human rights, urging them to allow him to return home while discussions to resolve any regulatory issues continue.
