Air Peace has announced unexpected disruptions to its flight operations following multiple bird strikes affecting three of its aircraft within 24 hours.
In a statement issued on Friday, Ejike Ndiulo, the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, explained that the first incident occurred yesterday, resulting in an air return. Two more aircraft were affected by bird strikes earlier today, leading to their grounding for safety inspections and maintenance.
The airline expressed regret over the disruptions, apologizing to passengers whose travel plans may be impacted. They assured customers that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew are their top priorities.
“As a safety-conscious airline, Air Peace prioritizes the well-being of our passengers and crew above all else,” the statement said.
Air Peace emphasized that inspections and maintenance were already underway to ensure the affected aircraft meet the highest safety standards before returning to service.
The airline also mentioned that its team is actively reaching out to affected passengers, offering assistance such as rescheduling and alternative travel arrangements.
While working to resolve the situation as swiftly as possible, Air Peace requested patience and understanding from customers. The airline reassured passengers that every decision made is focused on ensuring their safety and thanked them for their trust.
Passengers were encouraged to check for updates via the airline’s website, social media channels, or by contacting customer service at callcenter@flyairpeace.com.
