Borno: Suicide Bombers Were Imported —Reps Allege

The House of Representatives on Tuesday alleged that the female suicide bombers responsible for the killing of scores in Borno State on Saturday were imported.

Following consideration of Ahmed Jaha’s motion of urgent national significance, the legislator made this statement in a resolution.

Findings indicated that bombers were “recruited, brainwashed, and imported from outside the state” to carry out the suicide deed in Gwoza, according to Jaha, who denounced the crime. The assault had taken more than thirty lives.

He went on to say that the attacks highlighted the country’s continued terrorism danger. The lawmaker informed the house that more than 180 persons were gravely injured and are presently being treated in various hospitals around the state.

The House then encouraged security services to step their measures to prevent a repetition.

While reacting to the incident, the Defence Headquarters on Tuesday, described the bombings as Nigeria receding into a state of war.

A suicide bomb attack took place in Gwoza LGA in Borno, claiming over 30 lives, and injuring others.
