Cantwell Hopes Dessers can Lead Rangers to Glory

Scottish midfielder Todd Cantwell, a former Norwich player, expressed his optimism that Glasgow Rangers can win as the 2023–24 season draws to a close with the help of Cyriel Dessers’ strong performance and their relationship.

Dessers, a Nigerian who moved from Cremonese in Italy last summer, had a slow start to life in Scotland. However, after a brace against Hearts last Sunday in the Scottish Cup semi-final, Dessers has won over the fans and the Gers will play Celtic United in the competition final.

The two goals means Dessers, who scored just three goals in his first 20 matches, has now scored 19 goals and registered eight assists as Rangers look to win the league and cup titles.

With just five league games to wrap up the season, Rangers are three points behind Celtic who they will also battle in the Scottish Cup final; Cantwell is hoping that the chemistry he shares with the in-form Dessers can help land titles as they approach the business part of the season.
