Cody Gakpo, a Liverpool attacker, urged his teammates to retain their winning mindset heading into the second leg.
Recall that Liverpool overcame Fulham 2-1 in the Carabao Cup first leg semifinals on Wednesday.
Gakpo, who scored the game-winning goal, told Skysports that the club must retain its winning mentality.
“It’s the mentality in the group, in the club, in the city,” Gakpo told Sky Sports post-match.
“Everybody is like this: mentality, just keep going no matter what happens. We showed it again today. If you’ve got that mentality, a lot of beautiful things can happen.”
