Marcus Morris Sr. has been signed by the Cleveland Cavaliers for the remainder of the season, the team announced on Friday.
Following the injuries to guard Donovan Mitchell (nasal fracture), forward Evan Mobley (ankle), and guard Max Strus (knee), Morris signed a 10-day deal with the Cavaliers on March 18. Strus made a comeback on Wednesday, Mitchell might make his debut as early as Friday night against the visiting Philadelphia 76ers, and Mobley returned to action on Sunday.
Morris, 34, has played five games with the Cavaliers and averaged 7.8 points and 3.0 rebounds. During that time, he made 43.8 percent of his 3-point shots.
The Cavs are the third team to employ Morris this season. He played 37 games with the 76ers and was dealt to the Spurs in a three-team deal on Feb. 8 before agreeing to a contract buyout. He was waived on Feb. 29 without playing a game for San Antonio.
Morris has played in 825 career games with the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and 76ers.
