CBN Approves Release of FX Code

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the approval of the Nigerian Foreign Exchange (FX) Code, which will serve as a guideline to promote ethical conduct among authorized dealers in the country’s FX market.

In a statement, CBN confirmed that the Code aims to guide the banking industry in fostering integrity and professionalism within the foreign exchange sector.

The CBN further stated, “The Central Bank of Nigeria has approved the release of the Nigerian Foreign Exchange (FX) Code as a guideline to promote the ethical conduct of authorized dealers in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market.”

The Code will be formally launched at the CBN Head Office Auditorium in Abuja on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
