Augustine Eguavoen, the Super Eagles’ interim coach, is confident the team can qualify for the 2025 African Nations Championship.
The home-based Super Eagles will compete against long-time rivals Ghana for a spot in the competition.
Ghana’s Black Galaxies prevented Nigeria from qualifying for the previous edition of the CHAN competition.
Eguavoen is however optimistic the Eagles will beat their opponent this time around.
“We will qualify and do well at the CHAN,” Eguavoen declared on Eagle7fm Sports Radio station
The two-legged contest will hold next month with Ghana hosting the first leg.
The main competition will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
The CHAN is exclusively reserved for players who ply their trade in their respective domestic leagues.
