Pochettino has emphasized that he is free to leave Chelsea at any time if he is not pleased, saying it is not merely a question of whether the team’s owners want to keep him.
On Saturday, the Blues go to Nottingham Forest in an attempt to qualify for the Europa League.
With a deal that expires in the summer of 2025, Pochettino maintains that the owners have not provided any clarity over his future.
“The most important thing is to keep going if we are all happy – not only the owners happy with us,
“Maybe the owners want to keep us in our place and maybe we decide no. Always it’s two parts. But always [people] assume that it’s one part that takes the decision.
“I project myself here for a long period – more than only the one year that it says in my contract because we trust in our work.”
