Chukwueze linked with Saudi move

After failing to make an impression during his two seasons at AC Milan, Samuel Chukueze has been linked to a move to Saudi Arabia during the January transfer window. However, AC Milan is willing to let him go.

The Nigerian forward became Milan’s most expensive acquisition of a window that saw ten players join the San Siro team when he left Spanish club Villarreal during the summer transfer window of 2023 for a contract of €20 million with some sizeable bonuses.

Since joining the Rossoneri, the Nigerian has struggled to replicate the form that made him a household name at the Yellow Submarines during his five-year stay at Estadio de la Cerámica.

Chukwueze has made 41 appearances for Milan, scoring three goals and as many assists since arriving at San Siro.

The 25-year-old has struggled to break into the starting XI this season and has been sparingly used as a substitute

Recently, Milan manager Paulo Fonseca confirmed that Chukwueze had no space on his team, urging the Nigerian to make a move elsewhere.

Not short of suitors, the winger was immediately linked with moves to La Liga giants Atletico Madrid and Premier League duo West Ham and Aston Villa.

The latest reports in Italy suggested that the Super Eagles player now has other suitors from the Saudi Pro League.

Estimated at €20m on the transfer market, Milan will hope they can recoup the money spent on the Nigerian.
