The representatives of Samuel Chukwueze have extended an offer to Turkish powerhouse Besiktas for the struggling AC Milan winger, while Trabzonspor, another Super Lig team, is also interested in signing the Nigerian international.
Just months after paying €20 million to sign the 25-year-old from Villarreal, Milan is reportedly willing to let him go in January, according to Turkish publication Fanatik.
The former Villarreal star hasn’t made a name for himself at the San Siro, and the Rossoneri are willing to cut their losses on him even though his contract is set to expire in June 2028.
Any potential move to Besiktas could be delayed by the club’s ongoing presidential elections, while both clubs would need to agree on transfer terms before the player decides on a switch to Turkey.
Meanwhile, Premier League sides Arsenal and Aston Villa are also monitoring Chukwueze’s situation.
According to Sportswitness, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has identified the Nigerian as a potential replacement for injured England star Bukayo Saka, who could be sidelined for up to two months with a hamstring injury.
“Last week, Aston Villa had emerged as a suitor for AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze. It now seems as if Arsenal could also become a potential destination for the Nigerian,” the website wrote.
Villa boss Unai Emery could also move to reunite with Chukwueze, having worked together during their time at Villarreal and won the UEFA Europa League in 2021.
Milan are reportedly hoping to recoup most of the €28m they spent on acquiring the winger last summer, with a return to La Liga also a possibility.
