The Honourable Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, has alerted the general public that a circulating portal “FG Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation Trust Fund Portal” did not emanate from the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
According to a statement signed by Raheed Olanrewaju, the media aide to the Minister the said portal is fake, created by undesirable elements with the sole intention of defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.
“The minister said there will never be a portal from either the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation or any other ministries departments or agencies of government or its partners to apply for or access funds from the Humanitarian and poverty alleviation Trust Fund.”
“The general public is, therefore, advised to discountenance the circulating link to the alleged portal as it is a creation of fraudsters”. the statement reads.
