The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that it will begin its Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CBWASSCE) for private candidates on October 25, 2024. This examination period will extend until December 20, 2024.
According to WAEC spokesperson Adesina Fadekemi, the examination will use a hybrid delivery mode. Objective or multiple-choice questions will be answered onscreen, while essay and practical questions will also appear onscreen, but candidates must respond using provided answer booklets. Additionally, candidates will have the option to choose a traditional Paper and Pen mode for all exam papers.
WAEC has extended the registration deadline for candidates to October 29, 2024.
The “Walk-in-Candidate” opportunity will also be available, allowing candidates to register 24 hours before their chosen paper.
