State governors, some deputy governors, Ministers, former Chief Justices of the Federation, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the National Security Adviser were among those who attended the meeting.
Briefing State House Correspondents shortly after the meeting, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq of Kwara State, said the Council commended the President for policy decisions he has taken since assuming office.
He said that following the National Council of State meeting, the governors passed a vote of confidence in President Tinubu during a separate executive meeting.
The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, submitted a report to the Council detailing the security state of the nation as well as an initial assessment of the most recent protests.
After the council meeting, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and Minister of Solid Minerals Dele Alake briefed State House Correspondents on the protests, saying that they were perceived as a covert attempt to sabotage the administration’s operations.
