A Kano State High Court, presided over by Justice Usman Na’abba, has vacated an order suspending immediate past Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje as national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Justice Na’abba, had in earlier ruling, granted an experte order for the suspension of Ganduje by some party leaders in his Ganduje Ward in Kano State.
Ganduje was prohibited from parading himself as national chairman after one Haladu Gwanjo and Laminu Sani Barguma who claim to be the chairman and secretary respectively of the APC in Ganduje Ward in Dawakin Tofa local government area of the state, secured an order suspending Ganduje as the chairman of the party.
But, in a twist of events Justice Na’Abba, vacated his earlier order, upon the hearing of a Motion ex-parte together with 27 paragraph affidavit in support, and a written address dated April 22, 2024, sworn to by Glory Adah a Litigation Secretary in the 4th respondent’s solicitors law firm.
In a related development, the Kano Secretary of the APC, Zakari Sarina, said the APC national chairman, Ganduje, was not disturbed by the activities of sponsored agents in his ward.
Sarina, who reacted to the fresh suspension of Ganduje by a new group that claimed to be the ward’s executives, dismissed the purported action, saying it is “null and void.”
