Renowned musician Davido recently opened up about his transformative journey following his graduation, emphasizing the varied paths individuals can take after school.
Speaking at the 2024 LAS Annual Summit, he reflected on the theme “Life After School,” which resonates deeply with his own experiences in the music industry after completing his studies at Babcock University.
Davido remarked, “I relate a lot to this topic because I’m living proof of what success can look like after school. I ventured into the entertainment world, but I also have friends and family who followed traditional routes.” He highlighted the supportive environment his family provided, allowing him the freedom to choose his path.
He shared, “I studied for about five years, taking a break for my music career. While some people pursue degrees in fields like law, I took a different route, breaking the mold within my family.”
Davido acknowledged that success is not a one-size-fits-all journey. “I’ve witnessed the diverse outcomes of my peers post-graduation. For some, success came quickly, while others had to work their way up over time,” he explained.
