The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has praised the economic reforms and policies implemented by President Bola Tinubu, stating that they are already yielding positive results.
In a statement released on Thursday in Abuja by Henshaw Ogubike, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Ministry of Defence, Matawalle highlighted that key initiatives such as the new tax reforms, alongside several other sectoral achievements, are contributing to the nation’s economic recovery.
Matawalle further emphasized that this economic turnaround would ultimately benefit all Nigerians. He called on critics, particularly from some Northern regions, to adopt a more positive approach in their assessments of the administration. He urged citizens to stay committed to supporting President Tinubu and reject divisive narratives.
The minister also underscored the importance of the new tax reforms, describing them as crucial to the country’s economic revival. These reforms are aimed at creating a fairer tax system that will not only boost government revenue but also alleviate the financial strain on ordinary citizens and small businesses.
In addition to the tax reforms, Matawalle noted other significant achievements, particularly in national security.
He emphasized that the current administration has made substantial progress in strengthening the Nigerian military by providing modern equipment and technology. He also assured that military personnel are consistently paid their salaries and allowances on time, which has greatly improved their morale and effectiveness.
