Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has announced a Christmas bonus of ₦150,000 for each state worker.
The announcement was made in a Facebook post late Thursday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor. According to the post, workers are set to receive the bonus before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
The Governor’s decision reflects his commitment to the welfare of workers in the state, particularly in light of last year’s ₦100,000 bonus.
In addition, the state government has begun fully implementing the new minimum wage act, which now exceeds ₦70,000, with an extra ₦5,000 for Ebonyi workers.
This move further underscores the state’s dedication to improving the welfare of its workforce.
