Seasoned Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem said he doesn’t like working with most of the current generation of artists because they aren’t conscious enough.

When Eedris Abdulkareem was at the top of his game in the 2000s, he released singles like “Mr. Lecturer,” which raised awareness of the problem of sexual assault in Nigerian colleges. According to Eedris, the 2002 song was motivated by an undergraduate student at Unilag.
In 2004, he got into trouble with President Obasanjo over his smash hit single ‘Jaga Jaga’ which indicted Nigeria’s ruling class over the nation’s socio economic injustice.
The rapper’s activism and stunt belief in fairness led him to get into a fight with American rapper 50 Cent in 2004 after he was asked to vacate the business class of an airplane.
Falz has demonstrated his commitment to social justice by bringing attention to a variety of national problems through his songs. His record ‘Moral Instruction’ is replete with didactic teachings that appeal to the nation.
