The French Football Federation has revealed that Kylian Mbappe, the captain of France, had an injury during Monday’s 1–0 Euro 2024 victory over Austria, and that he has been diagnosed with a broken nose.
The FFF confirmed in a statement on Tuesday that Kylian Mbappé cracked his nose during Monday’s Austria-France match in Düsseldorf.”
It added, “The captain of France was treated first by the medical staff and Dr. Franck Le Gall, who diagnosed him with a nose fracture.”
However, in a boost for the 2018 World Cup winners, the federation revealed that the striker will not require surgery.
“Mbappé will receive treatment in the next few days, but he will not undergo surgery in the immediate future.
“A mask will be made for him so that the number 10 of the French national team can prepare for his return to the competition after a period dedicated to treatment,” the statement added.
