At the end of the current campaign, Everton is making an effort to sign Wilfred Ndidi, a midfielder for Leicester City.
Ndidi’s contract is slated to expire in June, therefore he will be free to sign with another team this summer.
According to reports, several clubs both inside and outside of England have shown interest in signing the Nigerian international.
Everton are aware there could be a bidding war for the defensive midfielder in the summer and have moved ahead of their rivals by tabling a proposal for the player.
The player is however yet to make a decision on his next destination.
Ndidi played a crucial role in Leicester City’s promotion to the Premier League.
The Foxes won the Sky Bet Championship title after a 3-0 victory over Preston North End on Monday.
