Everton, Lyon, Marseille battle for Ndidi

Wilfred Ndidi, a midfielder for Leicester City, is up for grabs, with Everton, Lyon, and Marseille in the running.

The 27-year-old Nigerian international is the target of all three teams, who have reportedly raised their offers for him, according to Foot Mercato writer Santi Aouna.

Lyon had hoped to complete a deal for Ndidi as soon as possible, as Foot Mercato had previously revealed. Nevertheless, despite making an offer, they were unable to do so.

AS Monaco are also said to be interested in a move for the player, whose contract with Leicester expires at the end of the month, with the Foxes keen to extend his stay at the King Power Stadium.

Despite being plagued by injuries during the 2023/24 Championship season, Ndidi played a key role in Leicester’s promotion to the Premier League after the Foxes topped the table with 97 points, just one point more than second-placed Ipswich Town, who secured the second automatic ticket to the elite division.

Ndidi joined Leicester from Genk in 2016 for £17m. He has scored 11 goals in 224 appearances for the Foxes.
