Fans of Galatasaray welcomed Nigerian player Victor Osimhen with excitement as they remained up late to see the striker.
After the club and Napoli came to an arrangement for Osimhen’s one-year services, Osimhen finished his loan to the Turkish team.
Osimhen would have been out of action for four months due to Lukaku’s arrival and his botched effort to leave the team and join Chelsea or Al Ahli.
The deal with Galatasaray, however, signals the beginning of a new chapter for the current African Footballer of the year.
Osimhen accepted to join Galatasaray on loan for a fee of €9/10m. He also asked for his release clause at Napoli to become €75m instead of €130, and a break clause for January in case top clubs approach him over move.
The loan deal agreed with Napoli does not include any buy option/obligation clause.
Osimhen arrived at the club and joined the fans in celebration. He’s expected to be officially unveiled soon.
