FCT Command: Odumosu Says Intelligence And Investigation Department Is Central
Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Olusola Odumosu has described the Intelligence and Investigation department as the engine room of every operation at the Command.
In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Samuel Idoko, Odumosu stated this at a three(3) day training for its intelligence and investigation personnel.
It said the commandant charged them to be abreast with the modern realities.
“This is a valuable opportunity to learn and develop your skills further. I urge you to stay attentive and actively engage through out the sessions.
“This training is to refine, reshape, introduce modern techniques to you and make you well grounded in your career as intelligence personnel and investigators.
“You must be a step ahead of criminals if you must stop them from carrying out their nefarious activities. We must not be reactive but proactive to prevent vandals and other economic saboteur from destroying our common wealth” he concluded.
The workshop with the theme “Modern Techniques In Intelligence Processing, Criminal Investigation and Procedural Modules” has as its special guest the Deputy Commandant General(DCG) Intelligence and Investigation Directorate, NSCDC, National Headquarters, Sauka Abuja, Dr. Nnamdi Nwiyi, who was represented by Assistant Commandant General(ACG) Iskilu Makinde Ayinla.
While declaring the workshop open, ACG Makinde said “the training marks a significant milestone not just in the Command but in the Corps as a whole and will enhance your professional capabilities and motivate you to strive for excellence”. He also called on other State Commands to emulate the FCT Command.
The three (3) day workshop has resource persons from the military, the Nigeria Police, Department of State Services(DSS) and the judiciary.
