The Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee will hold public engagements on fiscal and tax reforms starting in Lagos on Thursday.
The committee’s chairman, Taiwo Oyedele, said in a statement on Tuesday on X that the team would consult with stakeholders in Lagos and Abuja as part of a renewed effort to review the National Tax Policy.
The Lagos session will take place on May 2, followed by another in Abuja on May 6, with the theme “Proposed Changes to the National Tax Policy, Tax Laws, and Administration.”
The public engagements aim to gather input from stakeholders on proposed reforms to the country’s tax system, which the government hopes will boost economic growth and improve revenue collection.
The tax expert said, “As part of our ongoing fiscal and tax reforms and based on inputs from our consultations and public engagements, we are revising our National Tax Policy.
