The funeral of the late Nollywood actor John Okafor, known as Mr Ibu, brought together his family and friends in Nkanu West local government area, Enugu State, on Friday, June 28. Mr Ibu passed away on March 2, 2024, after a long illness that deeply affected his family.
His adopted daughter, Jasmine Okafor, shared emotional videos from the funeral. One video showed undertakers carrying his coffin calmly while music played softly in the background.
The event was solemn, with many fans wondering if his colleagues from the film industry were present, though none were seen in the videos. A person dressed in white was also noticed, described by some as an ‘angel.’
The funeral not only honored Mr. Ibu’s career but also provided closure for those close to him, reflecting on his lasting impact on Nollywood.
