Ghanaian Set To Break The Stand-A-Thon Guinness World Record Stands Down
Patrick Amenuvor, a Ghanaian photographer commences Stand-A-Thon to set the Guinness World Record for the longest standing time as he attempts to stand for 7 days without sitting.
The man kicked off the attempt on the 14th of January and has plans to stand till the 21st of January to break the record for longest standing by an individual.
Unfortunately he has halted his plans in setting records as the photographer will communicate a new date to resume his longest standing marathon attempt.
In a surprise announcement, Amenuvor revealed he is pausing his record attempt for longest standing marathon due to undisclosed rule violations, casting a shadow of disappointment over the highly anticipated feat.
Even though it’s unclear exactly what the rule violations entailed, Amenuvor said that he was committed to fair play and that he needed to make necessary corrections before continuing on his mission.
His statement reads, “Due to my integrity and desire to win by fair play, I wish to inform all of my intention to stop my official stand-a-thon attempt due to some rules I’ve broken which might sabotage my efforts to break the record.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank all who have stood with me all this while and I want to assure all that Patrick Amenuvor stand-a-thon is a dream that I’m not sleeping on. New date will be communicated via all my social media pages.”
