Global advertising revenue to hit $1.1 trillion in 2025 – Report
The global advertising industry is poised for significant growth, with revenue expected to reach $989.8 billion in 2024 and surpass $1 trillion in 2025—one year earlier than initially forecasted. This projection comes from the 2024 Global Midyear Advertising Forecast.
Key drivers of this growth include the rise of digital advertising, a rebound in key markets like China, and advancements in technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI).
The report forecasts that global ad revenue will grow by 7.8% in 2024, a revision upward from the previously predicted 5.3% growth, pushing the total to $989.8 billion. In 2025, the industry is expected to expand further by 6.8%, reaching $1.1 trillion.
The United States and China will lead this growth, accounting for 57.1% of global ad revenue in 2024. U.S. ad revenue is projected to grow to $365.9 billion, reflecting a 5.8% increase from 2023.
Meanwhile, China’s ad revenue forecast has been revised upward to $199.4 billion, a significant jump from the earlier estimate of $148.2 billion.
