
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, participated in a special iftar (breaking of fast) with President Bola Tinubu at the State House on Monday. The event, which is part of the president’s annual tradition, also saw the presence of Nyesom Wike, Fubara’s predecessor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The gathering included several state governors, ministers, security chiefs, and senior government officials. Among the attending governors were AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, Alex Otti of Abia, Nasir Idris of Kebbi, Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, Hyacinth Alia of Benue, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, and Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe.
Other governors at the event included Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Umar Namadi of Jigawa, Uba Sani of Kaduna, Babagana Zulum of Borno, Abba Yusuf of Kano, Bala Muhammad of Bauchi, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo, Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra, and Monday Okpebholo of Edo.
The iftar also featured key government figures such as Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the president, alongside various ministers and service chiefs, marking an evening of solidarity and shared reflection during the holy month of Ramadan.
