Governor Mutfwang Reshuffles Cabinet, Creates Livestock Devt Ministry

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has reshuffled his cabinet and created a new Ministry for Livestock Development, Veterinary Services, and Fisheries.

Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau, announced the changes in a statement on Tuesday in Jos, following the inauguration of five new commissioners. While some commissioners retained their portfolios, others were reassigned to new ministries.

Musa Ashoms moved from the Ministry of Information and Communications to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, while Ubandoma Laven shifted from Housing and Urban Development to the Ministry of Works. Dr. Cletus Shurkuk was transferred from the Health Ministry to Science and Technology.

Among the new appointees, Sylvanus Dongtoe was named Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Mrs. Joy Ramnap for Information and Communications, Dr. Nicholas Baamlong for Health, and Cornelius Doeyok for Culture, Tourism, and Hospitality. Dr. Sunday Akpa will head the new Ministry for Livestock Development, Veterinary Services, and Fisheries.

Governor Mutfwang swore in the new commissioners and urged them to bring innovation to their roles and contribute to the state’s development.
