Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has denied allegations of an assassination attempt on his life involving the military.
The Commissioner for Information and Communications in Kogi State, Kingsley Fanwo, had earlier issued a statement saying gunmen dressed in military attire had made an attempt on the governor’s life while he was en route to Abuja.
However, Governor Bello debunked the statement while addressing the media saying there was no attempt to attack him but there was an altercation between some security personnel in his convoy and a sister security agency which resulted into the security breach being reported.
