Guinness World Records celebrates Ronaldo’s 900th career goal with GOAT comment

Guinness World Records recognised Cristiano Ronaldo as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) when he achieved the milestone of 900 career goals. He did this by using the GOAT emoji in response to debates on social media posts.

This subdued acknowledgement, coming after this momentous accomplishment, served to further underscore his legendary reputation in sports.

With his 900th goal, Ronaldo cemented his place in men’s international football and club competitions, surpassing competitors such as Lionel Messi and numerous others.

In a late X post on Thursday, Guinness World Records quoted a BBC post celebrating Ronaldo’s historic new record, where it posted, “900 career goals for Cristiano Ronaldo.  Incredible.  #BBCFootball.”

Ronaldo scored his 900th career goal during Portugal’s UEFA Nations League opener against Croatia.

The goal came in the 34th minute of the match when Ronaldo volleyed in a cross from Nuno Mendes, securing a 2-1 victory for Portugal.

This goal not only helped Portugal win but also marked a historic moment for Ronaldo, making him reach 900 goals across his international and club career.
