Hoodlums Attack and Raze Police Station in Anambra State

In a brazen act of violence, hoodlums launched an attack on the Neni Divisional Police Station situated in the Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Reports indicate that approximately thirty assailants carried out the assault, targeting the area around 2 am on Thursday morning, causing extensive damage to several structures.

According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the attackers employed Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) during the onslaught.

Fortunately, Ikenga confirmed that no firearms were stolen, nor were any police personnel abducted during the attack.

Ikenga further disclosed that law enforcement officers swiftly responded to the situation, engaging the perpetrators with superior firepower, forcing them to retreat.

Tactical operations remain ongoing in the area to ensure the safety and security of residents.

While specifics regarding the extent of damage inflicted on the facility were not provided, Ikenga assured the public of forthcoming updates on the unfortunate incident.
