Popular Nigerian singer Terry G has admitted that a physical assault on a DJ years ago hampered his career.
Recall that Terry G stirred controversy after slapping DJ Jimmy Jatt’s protege, DJ Phreez, at an event in Lagos on June 5, 2016, for playing another artist’s song in a bid to get him off stage.
His action led to the DJs Association of Nigeria, DJAN, blacklisting him back then.
Speaking at a recent interview the ‘Akpako Master’ revealed that the incident hindered his growth as an artist.
He, however, added that he later apologised to DJ Phreez and his boss, DJ Jimmy Jatt.
