Following Nigeria’s victory in the semifinals, Nigerian rapper Timaya resorted to social media to advise fellow Nigerians residing in South Africa to go about their activities with care.

The match advanced Nigeria to the finals, but it seems that concerns regarding the safety of Nigerians in the participating country have increased.
Timaya encouraged Nigerians in South Africa to “just dey your dey” on Twitter, suggesting that they should stay indoors to prevent any potential violence or altercations that might occur after the football game.
“If you’re a Nigerian and in SA tonight pls just DEY YOUR DEY!,” Timaya wrote.
