Ikorodu City FC has been promoted to the Nigeria Professional Football League for the first time in its existence.
The Oga Boys secured their position after an excellent performance in the 2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 Playoffs, which were held in Enugu.
Ikorodu City finished second in the Southern Conference with five points, gaining promotion alongside Beyond Limits FA, who won the conference with seven points. Their victorious campaign is a watershed moment in the club’s young history.
Joining Ikorodu City and Beyond Limits in the NPFL are Nasarawa United and Elkanemi Warriors, both of whom also secured promotion through their strong performances.
