Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker, said that former Chelsea icon Didier Drogba is source of his inspiration for him.
The Nigerian international revealed this in an interview with Il Matino, when he stated that Drogba’s muscular approach to the game has always influenced him.
“The whole world knows that I am inspired by Didier Drogba,” he said, according to Il Matino.
“When I was a child, they introduced me to his [Drogba] style of football, the passionate fans, and then the whole community pushed me to follow him.
“And so, I started to take an interest in him, to watch many clips, and learn from his movements and integrate them into my way of playing.”
Osimhen, who has become a major transfer target for top clubs in Europe, has netted 13 goals in 21 appearances for Napoli this ongoing season.
