Ace American singer, Taylor Swift claimed she is “in complete shock” following the stabbing incident at a dance and yoga class in the United Kingdom themed around her songs.
Merseyside Police reported on Tuesday that a 9-year-old girl died from her injuries at a regional hospital the day after the incident. Two more girls, ages 6 and 7, were killed during the Monday attack in Southport, a beach town in northwest England.
Five other children and two adults remained hospitalized in critical condition.
In a statement Monday, the police said a 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and murder, and a knife was seized after the attack.
Reacting via her Instagram account, Swift said the horror of the attack was “washing over” her continuously.
In her words;
“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock.
“The loss of life and the innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, and first responders.
“These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”
