Governor Chukwuma Soludo has urged investors to “invest in Anambra State for their own self-interest,” emphasizing that the state is ready and eager to welcome investment.
He made this statement during his address at the Anambra 2024 Economic Summit, held on Thursday at the International Conference Centre in Awka, the state capital.
Soludo reassured potential investors, saying, “Anambra is more than ready for investment. We are making substantial investments in security, and in the coming weeks and months, Anambra will become one of the safest places to do business.”
He emphasized that the state is not asking for favors but rather inviting investors to invest in their own economic interests.
The governor highlighted that investments are already beginning to flow into the state and promised to “transform Anambra from a departure point into a destination.” He reiterated his vision, first shared during his swearing-in in 2021, to build a state where he would be proud to live even after leaving office.
The summit, which follows the success of last year’s inaugural event, is designed to attract investors to support Anambra’s development initiatives.
The focus is on presenting projects that have moved beyond the conceptual phase and are now ready for investment and implementation.
