Iyanya Pleads With Natives To Return Mayorkun’s Diamond Chain

Popular Nigerian singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk (born 31 October 1986), popularly known as Iyanya who hails from Cross River State, has taken to social media to urge his Calabar fans to return Mayorkun’s stolen diamond chain, promising to compensate the person who returns it.

This is following the incident that happened at the Calabar festival when the mob rushed at Mayorkun in their excitement and ended up forcefully removing his diamond neck chain.

According to reports, Mayorkun diamond chain is worth millions of dollars.

“Calabar, you will probably never ever see me again, goodluck to the other artistes coming for your festivals tho.” The 29 year old music star wrote.

Singer Iyanya responds by expressing his extreme displeasure at his people via his verified profile on X, calling Mayorkun’s treatment by them “bad.”

He also begs his native fan to return the singer’s diamond neck chain, promising to compensate anyone who does so.

In his words; “My calabar people, this is very bad for the peaceful people I know us to be. The government has brought my colleagues to entertain you, all you owe them is protection and great hospitality. If you know anyone who stole from my brother , please return it and I will personally compensate you. Drop it at THE GRAND HOTEL I will personally compensate you PLEASE.”
