Famous Nigerian dancer and mother of two Korra Obidi has raised over $49k on GoFundMe in response after appealing for financial support in her continuing legal battle with her ex-husband, Justin Dean.
Just hours after launching a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for her legal fees, Korra Obidi has already surpassed the $49,000 mark, signaling strong support from her fans and followers.
Financial assistance became necessary as Korra Obidi was involved in a court case with her ex-husband Justin Dean for the custody and image rights of their kids.
Justin Dean recently secured image rights protection from Meta, the parent company of Facebook, preventing Korra Obidi from featuring their children on the platform.
Consequently, all videos shared by Korra Obidi featuring her children were removed from Facebook, and her page was demonetized.
Korra Obidi responded to this by taking to social media to voice her displeasure with the astronomical legal fees necessary to challenge Dean’s acts in court.
Through a GoFundMe campaign, she made a financial appeal and set a $100,000 goal to pay for her legal bills. The outpouring of support for Korra Obidi has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Within just 24 hours of launching the fundraiser, donations flooded in, with the total amount raised quickly surpassing $49,000 and continuing to climb.
