Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has described Toni Kroos as one of the team’s greatest players in history.
Recall that the Germany international announced on Tuesday that he will retire after Euros campaign.
Reacting to his announcement via the club’s website, Perez said that Real Madrid will always be the home for Kroos.
“Toni Kroos is one of the great players in the history of Real Madrid and that this club is and will always be his home.”
Also in today’s announcement, Kroos said: “I would like especially thank President Florentino Pérez, to the Club and to all those who received me with an open heart and trusted me.
“But above all I want to thank you, dear Madrid players, for your love and support from the first day to the last.”
