Labour Party Legal Adviser Claims Peter Obi Is Reuniting with Julius Abure Amid Leadership Crisis

The legal adviser for the Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party Kehinde Edun, has alleged that Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, is back and working with the embattled national chairman.

Edun made the claim during a televised interview on Wednesday, responding to questions about Obi’s current position within the party.

“I believe so. He hasn’t made any categorical statement about that. He hasn’t said he has left the party,” Edun stated when asked whether Obi had rejoined forces with Abure. “Yes, he’s with us, and I believe he’s speaking with Abure. That’s what I know and believe,” he added.

The Labour Party has been embroiled in an ongoing leadership crisis, with Abure at the center of the controversy. The tensions have sparked uncertainty within the party, but Edun’s remarks suggest that Obi may be returning to the faction loyal to Abure, despite the ongoing political turmoil.
