Lagos extends work-from-home policy

The Lagos State Government has announced an extension of its work-from-home policy for its employees, effective from September 4.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved this extension in a circular issued by the state Head of Service, Bode Agoro, on Wednesday.

The policy, initially introduced on February 28, allows workers on grade levels 01 to 14 to work from home two days a week, while those on grade levels 15 to 17 are permitted to work remotely one day a week.

This measure was initially implemented to mitigate the impact of the fuel subsidy removal on workers.

In the circular, Sanwo-Olu highlighted the positive effects of the policy on productivity across various ministries, departments, and agencies of the state government.

The extension aims to continue supporting employees during this period of adjustment, emphasizing the state’s commitment to balancing productivity with worker welfare.
