Lakers, Clippers Games Postponed Due To Fires – NBA

The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers home games scheduled for Saturday have been postponed due to ongoing wildfires raging across the city, the NBA announced late Friday.

The league said in a statement that the Lakers’ game against the San Antonio Spurs and the Clippers’ fixture against the Charlotte Hornets had both been scratched from the schedule.

Both games will be rescheduled for a later date.

“The NBA and the Clippers and Lakers organizations have been in communication with local officials in Los Angeles and Inglewood about the ongoing situation in the Los Angeles area and the game postponements ensure no resources will be diverted from the wildfire response efforts,” the league said in a statement.

The Lakers game against the Hornets due to be held on Thursday had already been postponed.
