Salah and manager Jurgen Klopp got into a touchline argument during Liverpool’s match against West Ham last weekend, casting doubt on Salah’s future at the club.
After being left out of the starting lineup, Salah was getting ready to join the match as a substitute when Klopp seemed to approach him and whisper something in his ear.
The Egyptian became incensed immediately and had to be restrained by teammate Darwin Nunez.
Souness, speaking on William Hill’s Three Up Front podcast, shared his thoughts on the situation, while insisting the 31-year-old will leave the club this summer.
“Salah is the most selfish player I have ever witnessed. Even before that game, whenever Klopp takes him off, he is never happy about it.
’“That is what you want from your players; if you take them off on two goals, they should want to stay on to score a third. When Sadio Mane was there, they’d fall out all the time,” Souness said.
Salah has scored 24 goals in 41 appearances for Liverpool this season.
