Ademola Lookman of Atalanta has received a nomination for the prestigious Gran Gala del Calcio Awards’ Serie A Forward of the Year category.
For the season, Osimhen will face Rafael Leao of AC Milan, Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan, and Marcus Thuram of Inter Milan.
Gian Piero Gasperini, the manager of Atalanta, is a candidate for Coach of the Year, and the team is nominated for Club of the Year.
Lookman is recgnised for his exemplary displays for La Dea the last two campaigns.
The Nigeria international registered 17 goals and 10 assists across all competitions for La Dea last season.
The 27-year-old has already notched eight goals and five assists in 14 appearances across all competitions this season.
Lookman finished 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’or ranking.
He is the overwhelming favourite to win the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
The Gran Galà del Calcio is an annual event that celebrates excellence in Italian football, recognizing the best players, coaches, clubs, and referees over the past calendar year.
The awards are determined through votes from members of the Italian Players’ Association (AIC), with winners set to be announced during a ceremony on December 2.
