Lookman: Playing For Super Eagles Big Turning Point Of My Football Career

Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman says playing for the senior national team was the turning point in his football career.

Despite appearing in England’s age-grade teams, he made his Super Eagles debut against Ghana’s Black Stars in a 2022 World Cup qualifying playoff.

Since then, the Atalanta winger has played 28 games and scored eight goals for Nigeria.

Speaking with Sporty TV in an interview, Lookman stated that his football career has been fruitful even since he played for the Super Eagles.

“It was massive for me because that was really a big turning point in my career. Ever since I’ve put on the Super Eagles jersey, it has been fruitful,” he told Sporty TV.

“We have been able to achieve together as a team and we are still growing as a team. The togetherness of the team is something that is very special within the squad.

“We showed that in the last AFCON, we got to the final but unfortunately we came up a bit short.”
