Following Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Højlund as their first two strikers, Danish forward Chido Obi-Martin has been added to Manchester United’s starting lineup.
The 16-year-old is anticipated to play some minutes early in the current campaign, per a post made on Fabrizio Romano’s X account on Wednesday.
The move by Manchester United is apt considering the current form of its strikers, who are yet to get up and running, with just one Premier League goal scored by Zirkee so far after six Premier League matches.
Obi-Martin made headlines in November 2023 when he found the net 10 times for Arsenal’s U16s in a 14-3 win over Liverpool.
In total the Denmark under-17 international scored 32 goals in 24 appearances at youth team level for Arsenal last season and trained with the first team.
