Manchester United are continuing to pursue the signing of Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha, with discussions on finalizing the contract details currently in progress. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on Monday, stating, “Manchester United keep working to seal Matheus Cunha deal very soon, plan confirmed since one week ago.”
Romano added that Cunha is “keen on joining the project,” suggesting that talks between the two sides are progressing positively. This follows Romano’s earlier report on April 21, which revealed that Manchester United were leading the race to secure the Wolverhampton Wanderers striker. At that time, the two parties were in discussions over personal terms, with United aware of interest from other clubs.
Cunha’s contract reportedly includes a £62.5 million release clause. Romano further noted that there were “good feelings” following initial contacts between the player and Manchester United, indicating both sides are eager to complete the transfer soon.
